Divine Mercy in My Soul, 965

Jesus looked at me and said, Souls perish in spite of My bitter Passion. I am giving them the last hope of salvation; that is, the Feast of My Mercy. If they will not adore My mercy, they will perish for all eternity. Secretary of My mercy, write, tell souls about this great mercy of Mine, because the awful day, the day of My justice, is near.

Divine Mercy in My Soul, 1448

Tell souls where they are to look for solace; that is, in the Tribunal of Mercy (the Sacrament of Reconciliation). There the greatest miracles take place (and) incessantly repeated. To avail oneself of this miracle, it is not necessary to go on a great pilgrimage or to carry out some external ceremony; it suffices to come with faith to the feet of My representative and to reveal to him one's misery, and the miracle of Divine Mercy will be fully demonstrated. Were a soul like a decaying corpse so that from a human standpoint, there would be no (hope of) restoration and everything would already be lost, it is not so with God. The miracle of Divine Mercy restores that soul in full. Oh, how miserable are those who do not take advantage of the miracle of God's mercy! You will call out in vain, but it will be too late.

Divine Mercy in My Soul, 699

I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and shelter for all souls, and especially for poor sinners. On that day the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the fount of My mercy. The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment. On that day all the divine floodgates through which grace flow are opened. Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet.
You want to be sure to have gone to Confession, and are in a State of Grace, when Jesus Comes to 'Deliver us from the Evil One'. When St. Faustina was communicating with Jesus through locutions, He guided her on how to make a good Confession. Well, If Jesus was right there talking with St. Faustina, why did Jesus not just absolve her of her sins directly? Instead, Jesus guides St. Faustina to His Representatives, who are Catholic Priests, in order to pour out His Divine Mercy upon her, through them. Jesus has set up His Church on earth. Jesus has place His Sacraments into His Church on earth. Jesus refers to His Catholic Sacrament of Reconciliation, as His 'Tribunal of Mercy'. Jesus' 'Tribunal of Mercy' consists of: Jesus, the sinner, and Jesus' 'Representative', which Jesus 'Representative' is one of Jesus' Catholic Priests. Jesus Wills His Divine Mercy to flow through the structure of His Church, which He Himself set up 2000 years ago. Please come to Jesus, in the Catholic Confessional, to receive Jesus' Dive Mercy upon your soul.

All people, of all races and nations, are invited by God to come to Jesus' Great Wedding Feast. We see, in Matthew 22, that many people on earth will refuse to come to Jesus' Wedding Ceremony. The word The 'Valley of Armageddon', means 'the Valley of decision'. Jesus has Promised that He will 'Deliver us from the Evil One'. It is up to each and every person on earth, to choose which side, Jesus side or Satan's side, you want to be on, when Jesus returns. God's 'servants', who are inviting people to attend His Son's Wedding Banquet (Matthew 22), are the Catholic Church. Be prepared to meet Jesus at all times. Be in a State of Grace at all times.

NAB3 MAT 22:1 The Parable of the Wedding Feast.

Jesus again in reply spoke to them in parables, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven may be likened to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son. He dispatched his servants to summon the invited guests to the feast, but they refused to come. A second time he sent other servants, saying, 'Tell those invited: Behold, I have prepared my banquet, my calves and fattened cattle are killed, and everything is ready; come to the feast.' Some ignored the invitation and went away, one to his farm, another to his business. The rest laid hold of his servants, mistreated them, and killed them. The king was enraged and sent his troops, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city. Then he said to his servants, 'The feast is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy to come. Go out, therefore, into the main roads and invite to the feast whomever you find.' The servants went out into the streets and gathered all they found, bad and good alike, and the hall was filled with guests. But when the king came in to meet the guests he saw a man there not dressed in a wedding garment. He said to him, 'My friend, how is it that you came in here without a wedding garment?' But he was reduced to silence. Then the king said to his attendants, 'Bind his hands and feet, and cast him into the darkness outside, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.' Many are invited, but few are chosen.'

It is Jesus' Church, those of His Church who are in a State of Grace, whom Jesus is Coming to 'deliver us from the evil one'.

NAB MAT 6:13 The Lord's Prayer

deliver us from the evil one.'

NAB3 JOH 17 Prayer of Jesus.

I do not pray for the world but for the ones you have given me, because they are yours, and everything of mine is yours and everything of yours is mine, and I have been glorified in them. And now I will no longer be in the world, but they are in the world, while I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name that you have given me, so that they may be one just as we are. When I was with them I protected them in your name that you gave me, and I guarded them, and none of them was lost except the son of destruction, in order that the scripture might be fulfilled. But now I am coming to you. I speak this in the world so that they may share my joy completely. I gave them your word, and the world hated them, because they do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world.

I do not ask that you take them out of the world but that you keep them from the evil one.

They do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world. Consecrate them in the truth. Your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, so I sent them into the world. And I consecrate myself for them, so that they also may be consecrated in truth.

NAB3 ACT 26:17

I shall deliver you from this people and from the Gentiles to whom I send you, to open their eyes that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may obtain forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been consecrated by faith in me.

NAB4 2 Thessalonians 3:1 Request for Prayers

Finally, brothers, pray for us, so that the word of the Lord may speed forward and be glorified, as it did among you, and that we may be delivered from perverse and wicked people, for not all have faith. But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.

NAB2 JER 15:19

Thus the LORD answered me: If you repent, so that I restore you, in my presence you shall stand; If you bring forth the precious without the vile, you shall be my mouthpiece. Then it shall be they who turn to you, and you shall not turn to them; And I will make you toward this people a solid wall of brass. Though they fight against you, they shall not prevail, For I am with you, to deliver and rescue you, says the LORD. I will free you from the hand of the wicked, and rescue you from the grasp of the violent.
I cannot believe how many Christians believe that when Jesus Comes, in His 'Second Coming', Jesus will Come in riding on a flock of nukes, and all free-willed life ends, for all eternity. From the fall of Israel in 587 B.C., Israel has been praying hard to be delivered from all the death and destruction, from ruthless gentile dictators, whom God has authorized as kings over them. In Daniel Chapter 9, Daniel prays hard to God, begging Him to deliver Israel from all this death and destruction punishment God has rightly placed upon Israel. If God would have told Daniel that He is sending Israel's Messiah to destroy all free-willed life on earth, I am thinking Daniel would have had second thoughts on praying for God's deliverance. We Christians have been praying bazillions of 'Our Fathers', begging God to deliver us from the evil one.'. If Jesus Second Coming, where He will 'Restore the Kingdom to Israel' (Acts 1:6), means Jesus is going to end all free-willed life on earth, it would seem hard for me to believe that this is what Jesus has us praying for.

When I was eight years old, the Mass Gospel reading was Jesus teaching the Beatitudes. After Mass I asked my priest, "Where did all the wicked people go when the meek, humble and pure of heart, inherit the earth?" It was later in life that I realized it was Jesus' and His Angels of the Apocalypse, who will separate out those on Satan's side, from those on Jesus' side, in preparation for Jesus' Second Coming. Angels will do so sing the Sacraments of Baptism and Reconciliation, to loost sins, and anathema to bind sins. Jesus will 'Deliver us from the Evil One', when He Comes to Rule the world. The meek, humble and pure of hearth, who are Jesus' faithful, who are in a State of Grace, are left behind, to inherit the earth. Jesus' 'Kingdom Come', aka Mount Zion, aka 'The New Jerusalem', will be placed on God's Holy Mountain, in the Restored Garden of Eden, on free-willed earth. It is only the unrepentant who will face Jesus', and the Father's, Wrath, upon Jesus' Second Coming. Jesus is going to make a 'new earth' and a 'new heaven', where His Presence will Rule and Reside on earth, from within His Church, in a new and spectacular way. Jesus is going to 'deliver us from the evil one.'

Divine Mercy in My Soul, 723

The greater the sinner, the greater the right he has to My mercy. My mercy is confirmed in every work of My hands. He who trusts in My mercy will not perish, for all his affairs are Mine, and his enemies will be shattered at the base of My footstool.

NAB2 MAT 5:1

When he saw the crowds, he went up the mountain, and after he had sat down, his disciples came to him. He began to teach them, saying: "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land. Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you (falsely) because of me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven. Thus they persecuted the prophets who were before you. "You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its taste, with what can it be seasoned? It is no longer good for anything but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

NAB3 PSA 37:3

Trust in the LORD and do good that you may dwell in the land and live secure. Find your delight in the LORD who will give you your heart's desire. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will act. And make your righteousness shine like the dawn, your justice like noonday. Be still before the LORD; wait for him. Do not be provoked by the prosperous, nor by malicious schemers. Refrain from anger; abandon wrath; do not be provoked; it brings only harm. Those who do evil will be cut off, but those who wait for the LORD will inherit the earth. Wait a little, and the wicked will be no more; look for them and they will not be there. But the poor will inherit the earth, will delight in great prosperity. The wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them; But my Lord laughs at them, because he sees that their day is coming. The wicked unsheath their swords; they string their bows To fell the poor and oppressed, to slaughter those whose way is upright. Their swords will pierce their own hearts; their bows will be broken. Better the meagerness of the righteous one than the plenty of the wicked. The arms of the wicked will be broken, while the LORD will sustain the righteous. The LORD knows the days of the blameless; their heritage lasts forever. They will not be ashamed when times are bad; in days of famine they will be satisfied. The wicked perish, enemies of the LORD; They shall be consumed like fattened lambs; like smoke they disappear. The wicked one borrows but does not repay; the righteous one is generous and gives. For those blessed by the Lord will inherit the earth, but those accursed will be cut off. The valiant one whose steps are guided by the LORD, who will delight in his way, May stumble, but he will never fall, for the LORD holds his hand. Neither in my youth, nor now in old age have I seen the righteous one abandoned or his offspring begging for bread. All day long he is gracious and lends, and his offspring become a blessing. Turn from evil and do good, that you may be settled forever. For the LORD loves justice and does not abandon the faithful. When the unjust are destroyed, and the offspring of the wicked cut off, The righteous will inherit the earth and dwell in it forever. The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom; his tongue speaks what is right. God's teaching is in his heart; his steps do not falter. The wicked spies on the righteous and seeks to kill him. But the LORD does not abandon him in his power, nor let him be condemned when tried. Wait eagerly for the LORD, and keep his way; He will raise you up to inherit the earth; you will see when the wicked are cut off. I have seen a ruthless scoundrel, spreading out like a green cedar. When I passed by again, he was gone; though I searched, he could not be found. Observe the person of integrity and mark the upright; Because there is a future for a man of peace. Sinners will be destroyed together; the future of the wicked will be cut off. The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD, their refuge in a time of distress. The LORD helps and rescues them, rescues and saves them from the wicked, because they take refuge in him.

NAB MAT 13:36

The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels. Just as weeds are collected and burned (up) with fire, so will it be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will collect out of his kingdom all who cause others to sin and all evildoers. They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears ought to hear."

NAB3 ISA 29:17

Thus says the Lord GOD: But a very little while, and Lebanon shall be changed into an orchard, and the orchard be regarded as a forest! On that day the deaf shall hear the words of a book; And out of gloom and darkness, the eyes of the blind shall see. The lowly will ever find joy in the LORD, and the poor rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. For the tyrant will be no more and the arrogant will have gone; All who are alert to do evil will be cut off, those whose mere word condemns a man, Who ensnare his defender at the gate, and leave the just man with an empty claim. Therefore thus says the LORD, the God of the house of Jacob, who redeemed Abraham: Now Jacob shall have nothing to be ashamed of, nor shall his face grow pale. When his children see the work of my hands in his midst, They shall keep my name holy; they shall reverence the Holy One of Jacob, and be in awe of the God of Israel. Those who err in spirit shall acquire understanding, and those who find fault shall receive instruction.

NAB MAT 13:47 Parable of the Net

"The reign of God is also like a dragnet thrown into the lake, which collected all sorts of things. When it was full they hauled it ashore and sat down to put what was worthwhile into containers. What was useless they threw away. That is how it will be at the end of the world. Angels will go out and separate the wicked from the just and hurl the wicked into the fiery furnace, where they will wail and grind their teeth."

Penance! Penance! Penance!

The meek, humble and pure of heart will again ascend 'the Holy Mountain of God', which is where the Garden of Eden is, on free-willed earth. Jesus will wipe away His free-willed Church's every tear, as God did for free-willed Adam and Eve, in the Garden of Eden before their fall. With Satan chained in hell this time, there will be peace on earth. Hallelujah!

NAB3 EZE 28:13

In Eden, the garden of God, you were, and every precious stone was your covering (carnelian, topaz, and beryl, chrysolite, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, garnet, and emerald); Of gold your pendants and jewels were made, on the day you were created. With the Cherub I placed you; you were on the holy mountain of God, walking among the fiery stones. Blameless you were in your conduct from the day you were created, Until evil was found in you, the result of your far-flung trade; violence was your business, and you sinned. Then I banned you from the mountain of God; the Cherub drove you from among the fiery stones.

NAB3 ISA 57:13

When you cry out, let your collection of idols save you. All these the wind shall carry off, a mere breath shall bear them away; But whoever takes refuge in me shall inherit the land, and possess my holy mountain.

NAB3 REV 21 The New Heaven and the New Earth

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. I also saw the holy city, a new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Divine Mercy in my Soul, 587:

I suddenly saw Jesus in great majesty, and He spoke these words to me: My daughter, if you wish, I will this instant create a new world, more beautiful than this one, and you will live there for the rest of your life...
...a strange fire sprang up in my heart, and I entered into a kind of agony for Him. Then I heard these words: With no other soul do I unite Myself as closely and in such a way as I do with you, and this is because of the deep humility and ardent love which you have for Me.

2 Peter tells us that we are on our second "heaven" and second "earth". 2 Peter tells us that the first heaven and earth, which God brought into existence upon Creation, were destroyed in the Great Deluge. 2 Peter tells us that our present heaven and earth will be destroyed upon Jesus' Second Coming. 2 Peter assures us that Jesus will give us a third "New Heaven" and third "New Earth" for the righteous to dwell. Well where do all the angels and saints reside while God is creating all these "New Heavens"? If heaven is rebuilt on earth, what happens in five billion years from now, when scientists tell us that our sun will go Red Giant and consume the earth? Like Noah, who survived the transition from one era to another era, on earth, so will the Elect survive on earth, when we receive our third 'new earth' and 'new heaven'. The destruction of earth, described in 2 Peter and Psalms 97, is really indicating the destruction of one era, to make way for a new era, on earth.

2 Peter assures the faithful that God will build a new Heaven and a new Earth for the righteous to live, when Jesus Comes to destroy our present Heaven and Earth. As God prepared a second Heaven and second Earth for Noah and his family to live on earth, so will God prepare a third Heaven and third Earth for Christ's Bride, the Church, to live on earth, once the godless are removed from earth, as the godless were removed from earth in Noah's day.

NAB3 2 Peter 3:3

Know this first of all, that in the last days scoffers will come to scoff, living according to their own desires and saying, "Where is the promise of his coming? From the time when our ancestors fell asleep, everything has remained as it was from the beginning of creation." They deliberately ignore the fact that the heavens existed of old and earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God; through these the world that then existed was destroyed, deluged with water. The present heavens and earth have been reserved by the same word for fire, kept for the day of judgment and of destruction of the godless. But do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years and a thousand years like one day. The Lord does not delay his promise, as some regard "delay," but he is patient with you, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a mighty roar and the elements will be dissolved by fire, and the earth and everything done on it will be found out. Since everything is to be dissolved in this way, what sort of persons ought [you] to be, conducting yourselves in holiness and devotion, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved in flames and the elements melted by fire. But according to his promise we await new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

NAB3 REV 11:15 The Seventh Trumpet

Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet. There were loud voices in heaven, saying, The kingdom of the world now belongs to our Lord and to his Anointed, and he will reign forever and ever.

NAB2 PSA 97

The LORD is king; let the earth rejoice; let the many islands be glad. Cloud and darkness surround the Lord; justice and right are the foundation of his throne. Fire goes before him; everywhere it consumes the foes. Lightning illumines the world; the earth sees and trembles. The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim God's justice; all peoples see his glory.

NAB2 PSA 96:11

Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice; let the sea and what fills it resound; let the plains be joyful and all that is in them. Then let all the trees of the forest rejoice before the LORD who comes, who comes to govern the earth, To govern the world with justice and the peoples with faithfulness.

Divine Mercy in My Soul, 635 The Blessed Virgin Mary :

... you have to speak to the world about His great mercy and prepare the world for the Second Coming of Him who will come, not as a merciful Savior, but as a just Judge. Oh, how terrible is that day! Determined is the day of justice, the day of divine wrath. The angels tremble before it. Speak to souls about this great mercy while it is still the time for [granting] mercy. If you keep silent now, you will be answering for a great number of souls on that terrible day. ...

NAB3 WIS 5:14

Yes, the hope of the wicked is like chaff borne by the wind, and like fine, storm-driven snow; Like smoke scattered by the wind, and like the passing memory of the nomad camping for a single day. But the righteous live forever, and in the LORD is their recompense, and the thought of them is with the Most High. Therefore shall they receive the splendid crown, the beautiful diadem, from the hand of the LORD, For he will shelter them with his right hand, and protect them with his arm. He shall take his zeal for armor and arm creation to requite the enemy, Shall put on righteousness for a breastplate, wear sure judgment for a helmet, Shall take invincible holiness for a shield, and sharpen his sudden anger for a sword. The universe will war with him against the foolhardy; Well-aimed bolts of lightning will go forth and from the clouds will leap to the mark as from a well-drawn bow; and as from a sling, wrathful hailstones shall be hurled. The waters of the sea will be enraged and flooding rivers will overwhelm them; A mighty wind will confront them and winnow them like a tempest; Thus lawlessness will lay waste the whole earth and evildoing overturn the thrones of the mighty.

NAB3 PRO 20:26

A wise king winnows the wicked, and threshes them under the cartwheel. A lamp from the LORD is human life-breath; it searches through the inmost being. His steadfast loyalty safeguards the king, and he upholds his throne by justice. The glory of the young is their strength, and the dignity of the old is gray hair. Evil is cleansed away by bloody lashes, and a scourging to the inmost being.

NAB3 PSA 34:16

The eyes of the LORD are directed toward the righteous and his ears toward their cry. The LORD's face is against evildoers to wipe out their memory from the earth. The righteous cry out, the LORD hears and he rescues them from all their afflictions. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted, saves those whose spirit is crushed. Many are the troubles of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him from them all. He watches over all his bones; not one of them shall be broken. Evil will slay the wicked; those who hate the righteous are condemned. The LORD is the redeemer of the souls of his servants; and none are condemned who take refuge in him.
At the very end of the Old Testament, in Malachi 3, God Promises to send Elijah to prepare the way for Jesus, God's Messiah's, Coming. Jesus tells us that John the Baptist is Elijah, whom God has Promised to send, to prepare the earth for the Coming of the Lord. John the Baptist, whom is Elijah, first met Jesus, while John was in his mother, Elizabeth's womb, and Mary, with Jesus in her womb, visited one another (Luke 1:39-45). This does not seem to give John very much time to prepare the earth for the Coming of the Lord.

No where in the Old Testament is there any indication of two Comings of our Lord. The Old Testament only talks about, 'The Coming of the Lord'. 'The Coming of the Lord' is split into two Comings of our Lord, when Jesus Ascends into heaven. In Acts of the Apostles chapter 1, the Apostles were greatly surprised when Jesus was already leaving earth, without fulfilling God's Great Promise to Israel, that Jesus, the Messiah, would Restore the Kingdom to Israel, upon His Coming. The end result is that both Jesus and John the Baptist, spend their lives, working to prepare the earth for what the Old Testament, and Jesus in His gospels, refer to as, 'The Day of the Coming of the Lord', which happens upon Jesus' Second Coming.

NAB ACT 1:6

When they had gathered together they asked him, "Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?" He answered them, "It is not for you to know the times or seasons that the Father has established by his own authority. But you will receive power when the holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." When he had said this, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him from their sight.
In Malachi 3, The 'Record Book', that 'those who fear the Lord', who are the Church, are writing in is God's 'Book of Life'. The way that you get your name written into God's Book of life, is through Jesus' Sacraments of Baptism and Reconciliation. John initiated the Sacrament of Baptism and Jesus initiated the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The Power of Jesus' lips binding sinners to their sins, blots a person's name out of God's Book of life. Jesus left His Power to bind and loost sins with His Angels of the Apocalypse, right before He ascended into heaven. Using these Spiritual tools, given to the Church by Jesus and John the Baptist, the Church prepares the earth for Jesus' Day of the Coming of our Lord. Repent! Seek absolution of your sins! Be prepared at all times for the Coming of the Lord!

NAB3 MAT 11:12

From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent are taking it by force. All the prophets and the law prophesied up to the time of John. And if you are willing to accept it, he is Elijah, the one who is to come.

NAB3 MAL 3 The Messenger of the Covenant

Now I am sending my messenger, he will prepare the way before me; And the lord whom you seek will come suddenly to his temple; The messenger of the covenant whom you desire, see, he is coming! says the LORD of hosts. But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand firm when he appears? For he will be like a refiner's fire, like fullers' lye. He will sit refining and purifying silver, and he will purify the Levites, Refining them like gold or silver, that they may bring offerings to the LORD in righteousness....

...Then those who fear the LORD spoke with one another, and the LORD listened attentively; A record book was written before him of those who fear the LORD and esteem his name. They shall be mine, says the LORD of hosts, my own special possession, on the day when I take action. And I will have compassion on them, as a man has compassion on his son who serves him. Then you will again distinguish between the just and the wicked, Between the person who serves God, and the one who does not. For the day is coming, blazing like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble, And the day that is coming will set them on fire, leaving them neither root nor branch, says the LORD of hosts. But for you who fear my name, the sun of justice will arise with healing in its wings; And you will go out leaping like calves from the stall and tread down the wicked; They will become dust under the soles of your feet, on the day when I take action, says the LORD of hosts.

Remember the law of Moses my servant, whom I charged at Horeb With statutes and ordinances for all Israel. Now I am sending to you Elijah the prophet, Before the day of the LORD comes, the great and terrible day; He will turn the heart of fathers to their sons, and the heart of sons to their fathers,

Lest I come and strike the land with utter destruction

. (The Old Testament Ends here)

NAB3 LUK 3:2

the word of God came to John the son of Zechariah in the desert. He went throughout [the] whole region of the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins, as it is written in the book of the words of the prophet Isaiah: "A voice of one crying out in the desert: Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths. Every valley shall be filled and every mountain and hill shall be made low. The winding roads shall be made straight, and the rough ways made smooth, and all flesh shall see the salvation of God."...

...John answered them all, saying "I am baptizing you with water, but one mightier than I is coming. I am not worthy to loosen the thongs of his sandals. He will baptize you with the holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fan is in his hand to clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire." Exhorting them in many other ways, he preached good news to the people.

NAB3 ISA 40:3

A voice proclaims: In the wilderness prepare the way of the LORD! Make straight in the wasteland a highway for our God! Every valley shall be lifted up, every mountain and hill made low; The rugged land shall be a plain, the rough country, a broad valley. Then the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken. A voice says, 'Proclaim! I answer, 'What shall I proclaim?' 'All flesh is grass, and all their loyalty like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower wilts, when the breath of the LORD blows upon it.' Yes, the people is grass! The grass withers, the flower wilts, but the word of our God stands forever. Go up onto a high mountain, Zion, herald of good news! Cry out at the top of your voice, Jerusalem, herald of good news! Cry out, do not fear! Say to the cities of Judah: Here is your God! Here comes with power the Lord GOD, who rules by his strong arm; Here is his reward with him, his recompense before him. Like a shepherd he feeds his flock; in his arms he gathers the lambs, Carrying them in his bosom, leading the ewes with care.

NAB3 PRO 10:24

What the wicked fear will befall them, but the desire of the just will be granted. When the tempest passes, the wicked are no more; but the just are established forever. As vinegar to the teeth, and smoke to the eyes, are sluggards to those who send them. Fear of the LORD prolongs life, but the years of the wicked are cut short. The hope of the just brings joy, but the expectation of the wicked perishes. The LORD is a stronghold to those who walk honestly, downfall for evildoers. The just will never be disturbed, but the wicked will not abide in the land. The mouth of the just yields wisdom, but the perverse tongue will be cut off.

NAB JOH 15:1

"I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower. He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit, and everyone that does he prunes so that it bears more fruit. You are already pruned because of the word that I spoke to you. Remain in me, as I remain in you. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit on its own unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me will be thrown out like a branch and wither; people will gather them and throw them into a fire and they will be burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you. By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples. As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and remain in his love.

NAB3 PRO 2:21

For the upright will dwell in the land, people of integrity will remain in it; But the wicked will be cut off from the land, the faithless will be rooted out of it.

NAB3 PSA 25

Good and upright is the LORD, therefore he shows sinners the way, He guides the humble in righteousness, and teaches the humble his way. All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth toward those who honor his covenant and decrees. For the sake of your name, LORD, pardon my guilt, though it is great. Who is the one who fears the LORD? God shows him the way he should choose. He will abide in prosperity, and his descendants will inherit the land. The counsel of the LORD belongs to those who fear him; and his covenant instructs them. My eyes are ever upon the LORD, who frees my feet from the snare. Look upon me, have pity on me, for I am alone and afflicted. Relieve the troubles of my heart; bring me out of my distress. Look upon my affliction and suffering; take away all my sins. See how many are my enemies, see how fiercely they hate me. Preserve my soul and rescue me; do not let me be disgraced, for in you I seek refuge. Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; I wait for you, O LORD. Redeem Israel, O God, from all its distress!

NAB3 ISA 57:14 THE WAY TO PEACE FOR GOD'S PEOPLE

And I say: Build up, build up, prepare the way, remove every obstacle from my people's way. For thus says the high and lofty One, the One who dwells forever, whose name is holy: I dwell in a high and holy place, but also with the contrite and lowly of spirit, To revive the spirit of the lowly, to revive the heart of the crushed. For I will not accuse forever, nor always be angry; For without me their spirit fails, the life breath that I have given. Because of their wicked avarice I grew angry; I struck them, hiding myself from them in wrath. But they turned back, following the way of their own heart. I saw their ways, but I will heal them. I will lead them and restore full comfort to them and to those who mourn for them, creating words of comfort. Peace! Peace to those who are far and near, says the LORD; and I will heal them. But the wicked are like the tossing sea which cannot be still, Its waters cast up mire and mud. There is no peace for the wicked! says my God.

NAB3 PSA 2:11

Serve the LORD with fear; exult with trembling, Accept correction lest he become angry and you perish along the way when his anger suddenly blazes up. Blessed are all who take refuge in him!

NAB3 PSA 31:24

Love the LORD, all you who are faithful to him. The LORD protects the loyal, but repays the arrogant in full.

Responsorial Psalm for Lent, 2/23/2021

34:4-5, 6-7, 16-17, 18-19

R. (18b) From all their distress God rescues the just.

Glorify the LORD with me, let us together extol his name. I sought the LORD, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.
R. From all their distress God rescues the just.
Look to him that you may be radiant with joy, and your faces may not blush with shame. When the poor one called out, the LORD heard, and from all his distress he saved him.
R. From all their distress God rescues the just.
The LORD has eyes for the just, and ears for their cry. The LORD confronts the evildoers, to destroy remembrance of them from the earth.
R. From all their distress God rescues the just.
When the just cry out, the LORD hears them, and from all their distress he rescues them. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.
R. From all their distress God rescues the just.

NAB MAT 6:13 The Lord's Prayer
